Paper Treats

Well here I am back in the Sizzix Design room after an amazing Bank Holiday weekend, I hope you were all as lucky as us with the weather, here in Wales the sun shone all weekend making it extra special.

Today I have been crafting with my chocaholic friend in mind, we all have at least one! I have kept away from typical female colours because lets face it, not everyone likes pastels. I have chosen several different papers from the scraps left over from past projects and tied the scheme together using a dark chocolate brown card stock.

The box is a simple blank wooden box which can be found on the high street in a variety of shapes and sizes. A combination of double-sided tape and PVA will make covering the box an easy task, then you can get on with the fun part...decoration!!

The elements that I have used are from the gorgeous Fresh Moments collection designed by the very talented Paula Pascual consisting of Framelits and Thinlits for use with paper and thin card.

Removing the label from a chocolate bar is a really cool way to make an inexpensive gift into something a little more special. This idea is great for personalising children's party favours too, just type or hand write the name of each child and then use the Thinlit die to cut them out perfectly.

I love the effect of scrunching die-cut paper flowers and then apply distress ink to their edges. It creates such a lovely effect without being too grungy and I think paper projects often need that contrast of textures to prevent them becoming too flat.

I really hope that you like my ideas, it would be amazing to read your comments. Have a lovely week, happy crafting!
